Our publication in the Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling,"How diverse are diversity assessment methods? A comparative analysis and benchmarking of molecular descriptor space" (http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/ci400469u),by first authors Shardul Paricharak and Alexios Koutsoukas of the Unilever Centre for Molecular Informatics, together with co-authors Prof. David Spring and Dr. Warren Galloway from the Department of Chemistry, has been recommended by F1000Prime. F1000Prime is an in-depth directory of top articles in biology and medicine, as recommended by a Faculty of more than 5,000 expert scientists and clinical researchers.

ERC Starting Grant Awarded to Dr Andreas Bender

Dr Andreas Bender, group leader at the Unilever Centre for Molecular Science Informatics, has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant for his project 'MIXTURE - Synergistic Modeling of Molecular Effects via Chemical and Biological Data Integration'. The project, funded with ca. 1.5 mio. EUR, will support four new members working in his group, who will explore the effect of administering multiple chemical compounds in parallel in a biological system
